Gate Gamma — native test suite

Gate Gamma runs your own test suite — the tests that already live in your repository — not generated ones. It clones the PR head using the GitHub App installation token, uploads the checkout to an isolated QualityMax cloud sandbox, auto-detects the framework, and runs the suite there.

Framework Command
Go go test ./...
Rust cargo test
Python pytest

Framework detection comes from the repository’s imported analysis, so Gamma only ever attempts a runner your repo actually uses. Test commands execute inside the sandbox with a 300-second timeout — never in the QualityMax web service itself.

  • The clone environment is secrets-free: only git and TLS variables are present.
  • Tests run in a disposable cloud sandbox, not on the QualityMax server.
  • Nothing from one PR’s run leaks into another’s.

Gamma failures are hard blocks: the gate conclusion is set to failure and the PR is not safe to merge. Conversely, if Gate Alpha returned only a WARN but Gamma’s full suite passes, the conclusion is upgraded back to success — a green native suite is strong evidence that an Alpha warning was noise.

  • Test execution is turned off in the project’s Test Framework settings.
  • No Go, Rust, or Python is detected in the repository analysis.

Gamma skipping is normal for non-Python/Go/Rust repositories — JavaScript repositories are covered by Delta and Beta instead.
